Basilique Du Sacre Coeur located in the northern portion of Paris - also nearby the home to the wild side and Molin Rouge.

L'Intendant Eglise Du Dome - resting place of Napoleon. 

Palais Du Luxenbourg - a retreat right in the heart of Paris. 

Versailles - home to Henry XIV - and what a home it is! Amazing - with over 450 acres of gardens and hundreds of fountains. 

Centre Pompidou - a neat building with all the services on the exterior. A great home for modern art. 

Bastille - out of the way for most folks but well worth the visit. The neighbor is charming too.

Of course, no trip to Paris would be complete without visiting Notre Dame and climbing the bell tower. 

The Musee Rodin - if you love Rodin sculpture - it is a must on your itenerary. 

Musee Picasso - located in the Marias area of town - a wonderful building and great art too. 

Musee D'Orsay - an old train station converted into a museum. It has a fantastic collection and the building ain't so shabby either. 

The Louvre Museum has a wonderful collection and could take days to enjoy fully. 

Arc De Triomphe - right next door to our hotel in Paris.  

What would Paris be without a photo of the Tour Effiel. Yes - I went to the top and ...yes, i hate heights! 

Century of Chaos

Goodness - I hope not! Would you believe the remodeling continues? Yes, it is true. The workers are busy finishing up the 'punch list' of unfinished items and those needing additional attention. The good news is that we were back into the entire house for the Holidays! and ... put up a Christmas Tree for the first time in more than 2 years. It was terrific!

I don't know exactly where we are on the 'punch list' - as we just returned to Dallas from Paris. Yes - took a little trip for the New Years celebration. It was terrific! Our first trip to the City of Lights. What an adventure - the people and sights are wonderful. And ... lucky for us the weather was good too.

Now we are back home and settling in for the winter. Of course, it was 70 degrees today in Dallas. Go figure. Winter will come I am certain. So ... time to finish up the house.
