Progress continues on the front landscape - while some adjustments are needing to be made - it is pretty terrific. What do you think? Agree or disagree we invite your comments!
Okay - so that is the update. I hope you enjoyed it. We certainly are looking forward to all the project being completed so we can sit back and enjoy the summer. This week promises to have the front landscape completed - check back for updates!
I still have to purchase a few more pieces of sod before we are done.
Of course, with the pups grown we finally replaced the grass sod in the yard.
Ferns, hostas, and copper plants give the back entrance a nice feel.
Everything is coming back nicely this year!
The back garden has not been as neglected as the front.
And Nebo - well, she is just so 'special'.
Jena is the leader of the pack.
In case you were wondering about the girls! They are great and growing up!
Evergreen, glossy, and low forming - made Pittosporum a perfect choice for the new garden hedge.
Plenty of furns - of all varieties including this foxtail fern. Also, lots of grasses from dwarf mondo to jumbo liriope.
"Bridal's wreath" spirea for some Spring color and lacy follage during the year.
Copper plant under the front windows to providing evergreen color without obscuring the views.
Plenty of Chinese Mahonia to add some texture.
Three new Japenese Maples for some fall color.
New plant will set off the entire landscape - first is 5 new Magnolia trees.
Once it is in place and level - it will make for a nice new entrance to the house.
The old concrete side walk has been removed and replaced with a native stone walk.
The edging of native stone will be great - I hope edging it with the weed eater is not too much work.
Plenty of room for LOTS of new plants.
The new garden is much larger! I love the new native field stone edging!
