Today the 'gang' is off to see two exhibits at the Grand Palais in Paris. Our sanity (not to mention our fortitude) is being tested with 9:30 am tickets to the first exhibition of Claude Monet: 1840 to 1926. The second exhibition is France 1500, entre Moyen Age et Renaissance. I expect we will conclude our day a little more knowledgeable than we started it. A good way to being the first day of 2011 - expanding our horizons both experiencing and learning something new.
The Grand Palais is a wonderful museum located on the Right Bank of the Seine River. Each year the museum hosts some of the grandest exhibitions in Paris. http://www.rmn.fr
