Quai Branly
The second stop for the 'gang' today was a tour of the Quai Branly museum conducted by one of the members of the architecture team. It is a modern museum constructed on an old island on the Seine River. Actually - it is the location where marble was delivered into Paris so many of the artist (including Rodin) had their studios here at one time. Another fantastic detail is that the rooftop hotel is designed after the pattern in a dragonfly's wing. Michael, our guide, was responsible for the creation of the restaurant after the first design was rejected.
