Noticed I missed writing last night? well ... it was NOT a good night at all. I decided that I should refrain from writing my thoughts online as to not offend all my readers. Also - I figured that I could not write without using profanity! Ha!
You see we arrived home to a house full of paint fumes! It seems the painters finished painting the woodwork moments before we arrived home from a long day at work. They had turned off the AC so the house was about 90 degrees and with all the windows covered - no relief! It was amazingly BAD. So - the morning at the office was a relief with the lights off in my office and the fan blowing in my face. Oh boy - what a tough night for us all. I really did think I was going to PUKE!
Today - I am pleased to report things are better. The painters have been reprimanded for forgetting that we have to live here. How hard can that be - since we have been here EVERY day and night? And ... today, they did a good job picking up after painting the walls - which by the way - is much less toxic than the gloss paint on the woodwork. Yes, I actually did go online this morning and retrieve the MSDS chemical sheet on the paint - one needs to know all the damage these things can cause.
Not certain about the wall paint color in the Hall. It looks darker than the paint used in the bedrooms. I think some investigation is going to be required - tomorrow.
The craftsmen have finished the new kitchen island. It is in place - but not installed yet. I think it looks terrific. We worked for a while tonight moving it around to decide exactly where it should be placed.
The pups had lots of fun tonight playing with their neighborhood girlfriend, Sadie. She is so cute and the same age as my girls. Plenty of fun watching them all chase each other around the yard! Needless to say ... my girls are resting peacefully tonight.
