Lisbon - Day 1, Walking Lisbon

It is our first afternoon in Lisbon and we are being joined by Miguel Helfrich from Lisbon Photo (www.lisbonphoto.com) for a photography workshop. It is rainy and a bit gloomy. The rain falls steadily for 5 minutes and than clears away for a bit - still we need to fight off jet-lag and nothing is better than a tour to keep you going.

Miguel, a native from Lisbon, walked us around the trendy (and sleepy in daytime) Barro Alto, the pricey shops of Chiado, and neighborhood surrounding the Castelo de Sao Jorge. Everything is close by - but the hills make getting around a bit of a challenge. Our hotel, Internatcional Design Hotel is located on Praca Dom Pedro VI plaza and Praca Da Figueira plaza. We were pleased to find a nice market on the Praca Da Figueria today. 

Miguel has his work cut out for him - since neither of us is knowledgeable about using a camera. A few quick pointers and we are on our way to tour the town.
