Lisbon - Day 4, Almourol Castle

This small castle was built on the steep island in the Tagus river. It was rebuilt by the Templars in 1171 and recently redone to add some modern features (lights and metal staircase). You arrive by boat which adds to the fun adventure. We were very pleased our guide (and driver) Filipe from A Friend in Portugal accommodated our request to add it to our day (http://www.afriendinportugal.com/).
