Hong Kong - Day Five New Territories

Thurs Nov 13 - Today we are headed out to see the New Territories with our guide Dicky Woollard (www.dogosee.hk) and Albert Kwok our handy driver. The New Territories lie between central Hong Kong/Kowloon Peninsula and mainland China. The area is big - about 368 square miles. It is filled with villages and temples as well as emerging cities and industrial parks. The New Territories were leased from Qing China to the United Kingdom in 1898 for 99 years and transferred to People's Republic of China in 1997.
