Hong Kong - Day Two Pedestrian Escalator

As you move west of the Central District (Chung Wan) - you will enter the popular and thriving SOHO area with its bar/restaurant packed Hollywood street. A fun way (and easier) to move from Central Queen's Road to the higher neighborhoods in the mountain foothills is the Pedestrian Escalator. It sure beats taking the stairs. The escalator main entry is located near Cochran Street and Central Queen's Road. It isn't marked very well but stay alert and follow the crowds. It runs down hill until about 10:30 am so don't arrive too early before it reverses to its uphill flow.
