Lessons
Hammurabi arrived at the scene later and is most noted for the first set of governing rules for a civilization. Following them was easy as they were written on stone and placed in the center of town to inspire compliance. Most seem reasonable like alimony for divorce but the cutting off of body parts for other violations were extreme. These folks also created the first silver works known to exist. We know a lot about the later development of this culture because they wrote about the most menial parts of daily life. They also wrote letters on clay tablets and actually had really cool clay envelopes for them.
