Happy 4th of July! Posted by Picasa

4th of July

The summer heat has found its way to Texas - this weekend temperatures rose to a rich 102 degrees Fahrenheit. Can you believe it? Sunday - our neighbors along with their puppy dogs visted to escape the heat and enjoy the pool. Plenty of friends, good food, and nice company - not a bad way to enjoy the Holiday weekend. Only bad part - sporting the sunburn for the next month.

Spring Break

Spring has sprung in Dallas - plenty of rain to help all the plants grow and flurish! Temperatures are breaking the 90's early this summer so we are preparing for a hot one! Pups are doing well and so am I. Looking forward to some nice times in the yard, at the house and in the pool!

About a hour and one-half - the trip to Anchorage goes by really fast. Posted by Hello

The 'new' road runs right along the waterway. Posted by Hello

A very pleasant drive - all the way to Anchorage. Posted by Hello

Exiting Whitter to Anchorage is not easy - this is a one way tunnel - shared by cars and a train. Each taking turns ! Posted by Hello

And some interesting things to enjoy - that you just don't get at home in Texas. Posted by Hello

We have fun sailing her. Posted by Hello

A pretty ship - well, for a ship. Posted by Hello

Before saying goodbye - here are few enjoyable pictures of the Island Princess. A 15 story vessel - small by some terms but plenty big for me. Posted by Hello

The break off ice makes so much noise - it is like alka seltzer in the water - fizzing away. Posted by Hello
