Work continues on the home front - with plenty of pounding, workers and DUST! It looks like a snow storm! The maid is going to be busy on Monday! I keep expecting her to leave a note that she has quit because of all the mess.

Kitchen cabinets are look extremely good. I like them a lot and cannot wait to see them painted white. They still have to finish more work before being done. What else is new - Ha Ha Ha. I especially like to trim work around the windows.

Bedrooms are being prepared for painting. Lots of dry wall repair and wood sanding - which means plenty of dust. It is everywhere. Even the cats look grey! My allergies will never be the same.

Back is better after three doctor visits and plenty of ibuprofen. 800 mg every 6 hours! Wow! I felt like a drug addict. Back - though better - is still giving me some trouble so I am taking it slow and easy this weekend. My ice pack continues to be my best friend.

Okay - one slight problem. I think these doors are too big!  

New european hinges - no more visible hinges in the kitchen! 

New drawers! Ones that easily glide open! 

Same about the kitchen sink window - we have to change that light fixture but the penguins have to stay! 

Workers removed the old window molding - nice clean lines now!

Repairs to the dry wall in the guest bedroom are complete too. 

Taping and covering of the hardwood floors in the master bedroom makes me think the painting planned next.

Chaos Rules

WOW - this week has completely gotten away from me!  Chaos has been plentiful filling up the hours and days.  Thankfully I am back in control (right? who is kidding who?).  Laughing.  It looks like my 'helper' is still doing good - though tired towards the end of the day.  Pups are crazy! We had TONS of rain here yesterday.  So ... they are muddy and eager to be outside playing.  My back is better after two visits this week to the doctor.  One more treatment this week - and still using the ol' ice pack as often as I can.

The remodeling project is making progress.  Everyday we come to new improvements and changes.  I don't think we will get back into the master bedroom by the weekend as planned - but soon.  The new kitchen cabinet doors are partially in place and look very good.  Painters are trimming out the bedrooms and halls for the interior painting to begin soon. 

Interesting how many projects have started and are now - on hold - for reasons that honestly escapes me.  You would think the workers would want to complete their work before moving on.  Guess my brain doesn't function the same way as a remodeler's mind.  Thankfully, the roofing was not one of these projects waiting to be finished!  What a disaster that would have been!

The pups had lots of fun today down the street at our neighbors. I thought I'd never get them to sleep tonight. Nebo was especially energized after outside play time! 

And - the master bedroom preparation for painting began too!
