Day Thirteen - Paris 2014 The End

Oh my - it is difficult to believe that our two week trip to Paris is coming to an end tomorrow. This is our last full day to enjoy the city. The gang broke apart allowing each of us to take in the city on our own. Overcast and colder - a perfect day to walk the city streets and grab all of those last minute bargains.

These are the photos of Paris - Enjoy!

Day Twelve - Paris 2014 St Louis en l'Ile Church

This old church is located on the Ile St Louis Island in the Seine River of Paris. It is lovely church in the shadow of Notre Dame.

Day Twelve - Paris 2104 Random Street Views

I took some quick shots while walking (read: shopping) from Les Halles through the Marais, Isle St. Louis, La Cite and home to the Latin Quarter.

Day Twelve - Paris 2014 Manfred Cafe Restaurant

A fun return visit to Paris filled with new discoveries - Manfred Cafe Restaurant at 1 rue Reaumur is very good. We all enjoyed the atmosphere, wifi and tasty food.

Day Twelve - Paris 2014 Paris Passages

We spent the walking the streets of Les Halles and Marais to shop the sales at the boutiques along the way. The sales in France are controlled and started on Wednesday making it easy to spend some USD. We stumbled across several of Paris' famous passages along the way - an added bonus.

Day Eleven - Paris 2014 Minimes

After a disappointing discovery that Cafe de Muses was closed, we discovered Minimes on Rue de Tuenne. The restaurant is contemporary in flare and the staff is very attentive. We will definitely add it to our list.

Day Eleven - Paris 2014 Bistrot Les Sans-Culottes

We stumbled upon this small restaurant during our adventurous travel from the cemetery to the Marias for shopping. It is located at 27, rue de Lappe. It was a brilliant find and the hamburger was good (order well done which is medium rare in USA). Trust me.

Day Eleven - Paris 2014 Pere Lachaise Cemetery

Today we joined our docent Marie Dessaillen from Context Travel for a tour of Pere Lachaise cemetery. This is one of the places that having a guide is important to understand the history of Paris and the importance of different people buried in the place.
