Hard to say - what I will remember most about this trip. This is one of my favorite views. 

Anchorage airport - and time to say goodbye to Alaska as I begin the long journey home. 

About a hour and one-half - the trip to Anchorage goes by really fast. 

The 'new' road runs right along the waterway. 

A very pleasant drive - all the way to Anchorage. 

Exiting Whitter to Anchorage is not easy - this is a one way tunnel - shared by cars and a train. Each taking turns ! 

And some interesting things to enjoy - that you just don't get at home in Texas. 

We have fun sailing her. 

A pretty ship - well, for a ship. 

Before saying goodbye - here are few enjoyable pictures of the Island Princess. A 15 story vessel - small by some terms but plenty big for me. 

The break off ice makes so much noise - it is like alka seltzer in the water - fizzing away. 

Plenty of iceburgs for seals and sea otters to ride on.

These glaciers are very active - dropping lots of ice into the waters. 

College Fjord - home to numerous tidewater glaciers named after US ivy league schools - Vassar, Smith, Harvard and Yale to name a few. 

These walls are over 250 feet tall.  

The Park's tidewater glaciers are beautiful. 

Glacier Bay National Park - as the world turns dark and cold!
