Day 1 - Copenhagen Rollercoaster

When Tivoli opened its doors in 2014, the famous wooden roller coaster turned 100 years. It is one of world's oldest wooden roller coasters that is still operating today. An operator controls the ride by braking down the hills so it won't gain too much speed!

For the 100 year celebration, the roller coaster has been transformed into its original look. The new design consists of two mountain tops of which the largest is 85 feet above the gardens and an artificial waterfall with a total drop of over 65 feet on the roller coaster's side. The waterfall gives riders the feeling of travelling in the mountains.

We had to buy tickets and enjoy a ride. Rumors have it that Walt Disney got his idea for the US Disneyland after visiting this park. I'd believe it.
