Paris 2013 - Day Six Porto

Arguably - according to our docent this exhibit of a stone porto (entry) from a 15th century home in Cairo is the only of its kind in the World. It is easy to overlook in the museum. But I challenge you to enjoy it and view the excellent education screen located nearby which explains its importance. As it happens our docent for today from Context Travel (I LOVE them) was Annie-Christine Mathews - she is an American (NYC) and responsible for its study and reassembly into the permanent collection at the Louvre. I made a recording (2.5 minute audio) that I will post online for your enjoyment.
