Seoul - Day 5 Mulhyanggi Arboretum

We are taking our final tours with Arron today. He has been an excellent tour guide and driver for us. Over the past four days in Seoul, we have seen many of the city's sightseeing highlights. If you are ever in Seoul - give Aaron Lee (http://www.facebook.com/lee.w.wook or habieru@naver.com ) a shout. Aaron enjoys trekking and plans to create some hiking tours for tourist also.

Today - Aaron took us about 1 hour outside of Seoul to see the Mulhyanggi Arboretum, situated in Osan City, Gyeonggi Province. These garden are in peaceful area but are surprisingly located amidst high-rise apartment buildings in the city center. There is a lot of construction of apartments and you see cranes reaching into the skyline. There are many things to see at the beautifully named 330,580 m2 arboretum (mulhyanggi meaning water fragrance). There are 16 themed centers, various auxiliary facilities, and 1,601 different species of plants. The Mulhyanggi Arboretum, is a great place for a leisurely walk, and takes around two hours to see in its entirety. The arboretum isn't the best we have seen (that prize still goes to Montreal Canada) - but it made for a nice change of pace.
