Day Three - Budapest - Belle Epoque 'Beautiful Period'

If you know me - you know I love Context Travel tours (www.contexttravel.com). Paul has created a great company and sought out highly qualified docents from around the World. Seriously, try these talented guides out and you will use them over and over.

Dora Sallay, an art historian from the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest, was our guide today. This three-hour walking tour explores the golden age or “belle epoque” of Budapest—the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries when the Hungarian capital flourished as a center of art and learning, and intellectuals throughout Europe gravitated here. The walk begins near the river outside the original town of Pest and moves outward to the Hero's Square.
