Paris 2010 – Day Four [Itinerary]

Some museums in the World require days to fully enjoy their collections. The Louvre definitely falls into this category. I have to enjoy the Louvre in bit-size visits. Otherwise, I find myself in a blurred trance roaming the halls.

Today we start our visit with 6 hours set-aside on our itinerary. Yes, 6 hours – our first bite. It will give us time to revisit many of the most famous and some not-so famous works of art.

Located in the Tuilieries just outside of the Louvre is the L’Orangerie Museum. The museum reopened a few years ago after an extensive renovation. If you love Monet – you have to visit this museum to see the Lilies. The Paul Guillaume collection which is permanently housed here is also worth a visit. This industrial leader amassed a private collection of works which – frankly makes me GREEN with envy.
