We decided to save 120€ and take the Malpensa Express train (12€) from the airport to Cardona station near the Castello Sforzesco. From Cardona, we jumped on the Metro red line to San Babila station. It's near the NH Collection President Hotel (http://www.nh-collection.com/hotel/nh-collection-milano-president). The property is very close to the Duomo and city center of Milan (You can see the Duomo from some of the rooms). We arrived early morning and were lucky to get room assignments immediately. Nothing better than unpacking and a quick shower after a long trip.
The hotel is modern with a lobby bar and restaurant on the 1st floor (second for USA visitors). The rooms are decent sized with a small balcony. Safe, refrigerator (stocked), coffee maker and tea kettle met all of our needs. Hotel Milano President is going to be a nice home away from home during our visit to Milan.
