Milan, Day 2 - Castello Sforzesco

The castle began construction in the mid-14th century and continued to be added to until early 20th century. It was part of the original walls that surrounded Milan and home to its dukes (read, Kings). Ruling families of the Viscontis and later the Sforzas called it home. Leonardo Di Vinci lived here during the height of his career. His Sala delle Asse is undergoing renovation and promises to be a real treat in the future.
