Milan, Day 4 - Last Supper

Getting tickets to see Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper is a challenge at best. It took Leonardo three years to complete the painting in the dining room (refectory). The painting isn't a fresco so its preservation is more difficult. After 30 years of restoration - it has reopened for public tours.

Our guide, Sara Cerri (www.walkingtourmilan.it) was successful in getting us 3 tickets during our trip - otherwise, we would have missed the attraction. The painting was restored. Visitors in small groups of 30 can enjoy it for 15 minutes under very strict access requirements. It is well worth a visit.
