Day 5 Olso - Norsk Folkemuseum

The Norwegian Folk Museum (www.norskfolkemuseum.no) is one of Europe's largest open-air museums, with 155 traditional houses from all parts of Norway and a stave church from the year 1200.

On a nice day - you can wander around the grounds and visit each of the buildings. Many are open and docents offer details of life during the period. It is very interesting.

The indoor exhibits show traditional handicraft items and folk costumes. We skipped the indoor spaces on our trip. Nice gift shop of locally made items.
