Vienna - Day Two Belvedere

This summer palace of Prince Eugene is actually two palaces - the upper (official receptions) and lower (residence). They are connected by a beautiful garden and overlook the city of Vienna. Prince Eugene made his fortune from winning wars and eventually would have over 20 palaces around the Habsburg empire.

The upper palace is also home to Gustav Klimt's most famous painting called The Kiss. Photos are prohibited in this part of the palace. It is also home to Egon Schiele best works of art.
