Vienna - Day Two Hofburg Palace

Here a few quick glimpses from our walk through the Hofburg palace.

Palace Guard station within the Palace sits outside of the Austrian President's working offices today. Flags flying above this wing recognize the President is in town.

Tribute to Habsburg Empire (Seas) sits opposite a companion tribute to land holdings.

Royal Library (much like the Library of Congress in the US) a copy of books published in Austria.

Royal Chapel - the windowed rooms were used by the Royals during periods when fear of disease prevented them from attending services with members of the Royal Court.

Maria Christina (wife of Albert) memorial located in the Royal Chapel at Hofburg Palace. This image of Albert as an angel forever mourning the empire's loss.

Location:Vienna, Austria
