Hong Kong - Day One Lanson Place

Sunday, Nov 9 - Lanson Place Hotel, part of the Small Leading Hotels of the World Collection, is located at 133 Leighton Road near Causeway Bay on Hong Kong island (www.lansonplace.com). We settled on this property after reading tips from locals, online reviews and its participation in the Leading Hotels of the World portfolio. So far - everything has been terrific. Reception was attentive and a breeze. Housekeeping didn't bat an eye when I asked for 3 extra pillows. The room is equipped with its own guest cellphone - handy (http://handy.travel). The cellphone gives us free calls including back to the USA and unlimited 3G internet during our time in Hong Kong (I cannot wait to try this feature out). The room is nicely equipped including a small kitchen with refrigerator, microwave and cooktop. I brought the instant coffee with me so my morning routine is stocked. All in all - the room 606 is going to be a nice home for our stay in Hong Kong.
